We regret to announce the passing of Prof. Włodzimierz Pawluczuk – sociologist and religious scholar, journalist and writer, associated with the University of Białystok since 1997.
His publications include Światopogląd jednostki w warunkach rozpadu społeczności tradycyjnej (The Worldview of the Individual in the Context of the Breakdown of Traditional Society) (1972), “Element and Form: An Introduction to Empirical Research on Contemporary Culture” (1978), “Colloquialism and Transcendence” (1994), “Ukraine: Politics and Mysticism” (1998), and “Wierszalin: Reportage on the End of the World” (1983).
For his book Judas, Prof. Włodzimierz Pawluczuk received the Wiesław Kazanecki Literary Award from the Mayor of Białystok.
Farewell to Prof. Pawluczuk: viewing of the coffin - Friday at 6 p.m. at the Funeral Home on Nowogródzka Street in Białystok, the funeral will take place on Saturday in Ryboły.
